One of Asia’s favourite beach holiday resorts, Pattaya city is packed with sun, fun, hundreds of hotels, and thousands of shops, restaurants and bars. This international vacation station is situated about 105 miles (170 kms) south-east of Bangkok drawing about five million visitors a year, mainly from Europe, who receive a very warm and friendly welcome from the locals. Despite the hustle and bustle, Pattaya offers plenty of beach space, and even a few secluded spots in the surrounding area where you can get away from it all and enjoy your own piece of heaven for awhile.
Pattaya at night is even more active than during the day when a delicious dinner (seafood recommended) at one of the first-rate restaurants can be followed with late-night shopping, a spicy cabaret show, and then partying until dawn at a disco dance palace.
